Would it be safe to put a 2.5" level on the front and a 1.5" level on the back with 31" off road tires? Im just wondering because it's only a 4 cylinder and 2wd. I don't really go mudding, just want to make it sit a little better and have some better grab when Its wet out.

Your appearance may vary. A Z85 sits lower than a Z71.
A believe a 31" tire is max on a Z85. And in my opinion, a 31" tire on a Z85 2wd will experience a big power loss for a stock motor. The gear ratio is probably 3.42 (not the lower 3.73 Z71 set). 31's are a lot bigger, 8-9% over stock Z85 too.

I can't tell if Matt has a Z71 or not. No Z71 sticker, but Z71 flares.

Yes I realize my lift is much taller than what you're inquiring but it really depends on your axle ratio. I too am running the 2.8L just for reference. 3.42s will be a dog with those 31s but if you have 3.73s I say go for it. I was running my stock 3.73 ratio Z85 axle when I ran these 33s. It was slow as molasses but I didn't care for speed

I also had these 32s at one point and time but my truck hated them with the 20" wheels because they were so heavy.

What wheel are you thinking of using? If stock wheels you should be fine

Expect your fuel economy to be shot all to shit. Get a tune to help with the speedometer difference from bigger tires, and it will help get some of your trucks power back.

i had/have the ready lift 2.5 inch kit and 1.5 inch shackles on mine and stock 3.42 gears with 31s

it kills the power a little not as much as you would think. your gas mileage will be a little off but still tbh i still get 16-18 mpg depending on my mood of driving

Do you have RPO code GU6 or GT4 in the glove box?

If you have GU6.............if you lift it and put bigger heavier tires on.......your going to hate life
