Hey everyone, I’ve been a little concerned about an upcoming trip and my truck’s towing capabilities, so I wanted to get some opinions.
I drive a 2007 GMC Canyon 3.7L 4x4. It’s running on 33-inch tires, with a bed rack that adds about 300 lbs over the bed, and I’ll have 3 people riding in the cab. I’m planning to tow a 1993 Toyota Camry (around 3,100 lbs) about 400 miles (roughly 8 hours) on the highway using a tow dolly.
I’ve got all the proper equipment to tow safely, and before this trip I did a full suspension overhaul along with new fluids and flushes. My main concern is whether this setup will put too much stress on the truck.
Based on this info, do you think this is doable? Will it be really hard on the truck, or am I just overthinking it?
Appreciate the input
