Most of us get tunes for this. Mine was tuned by Dirty South Tuning many years ago. Better than any one size fits all tuning chip. Just my opinion though. Following to see results.

 

I agree that a custom tune will give you actual return on your investment. What are you looking to get out of it? A little bit of a power bump? Better shifting? The mail in tunes can get you some nice results with little fuss. For a true custom tune you will have to log some data for the tuner to optimize the results.

 

Check out lime-swap. he's been around the forums for ages. I used his mail-in service with a loaner so I could drive my truck the whole time he was tuning. Its $130 and worth every penny:

I shipped my ECM for tuning to Supermodulation when I had my head off for a valve job. The engine (3.5 5-speed 2-wd ext.) runs perfectly and can even get 31mpg if I keep the speed around 65.
