Ok guys, after doing some research on here, I have discovered you CAN combine drop LCA's w/ coils/coilovers? After consulting with the fine folks at Stylin', I was told you can't do so bcuz of the realignment issues. Has anyone had ANY trouble whatsoever realigning their truck after combining these parts?

I have lower control arms, qa1 coilovers and a 1inch drop beltech spring and everything looks good. The only trouble he had was getting the tow exact. He ran out of threads on one of the inner tie rods so we cut a little off the outer and a little off the inner tie rod so it would go in further. My camber is pretty decent though. I should mention that I cut the bumpstop mounts off my frame though so we could move the lower control arm in more without worrying about the coilover hitting the bracket. If you don't know already, if your using qa1's, make sure you mount the knob on the inside.

The guy at stylin' told me he even called belltech and djm while I was on the line (doubtful) and that they both told him coils/coilovers/drop balljoints wouldn't work. So I can go ahead and order such? Which is the best to go with/ I'm only looking for an inch or two at the most.

If memory serves me right one of the Admins Brewer 15650 is running his truck with the LCAs and the Belltech coilovers. Check his albums out for pics!

I have had the Belltech coilovers since they came out and have been great, no issues whatsoever!

Well thats not true!

I have a ZQ8 as well and I'm running both the front and rear BT swaybars! For the rear to work you have to cut the factory rear sway bar mounts off the axle tube.....well worth the extra work!

No problem!

No I'm just getting fuckin sick and tired of people disseminating information that is not correct!

Also look at the source, how long has my truck been lowered.........since day fuckin one. You just don't go low, high, low high just because. I have yet to see anyone on here that really has more money and time on their hands then they know what to do with!

youre fucking kidding me.

please tell me youre not talking shit. ive done more to my truck than most by far.

who cares if youre trucks been low from day one, what difference does that make?

ive been lower than you and ive done it more ways than you have.

dont talk shit jermey.

No they were not wrong........your truck might be an odd ball then. Because several members of my chater were there when mine was installed.......so I have proof too!

I'd like to see pics tho....just because I'm curious, not because I don't believe you!

thats still sitting in your gerage.

good job.

either way, back on topic.

my point is that taking off the mounts isnt a have to if you mock it all up and look at what youre doing. there are ways around everything if you take your time.

i will say tho, if youre going for a clean look then chopping off your mounts is definatly the way to go. it looks dumb to keep the mounts. i just didnt have a grinder at the time. :kiki:
Yep in the garage! More then 95% of the masses can say!

No I know nothing about mock up :lmaop: Been there did that. The mounts needed to be mounted in a correct position for the swap bar to be effective. Otherwise its a waste of time and money. If the mounts are offset your detract from the handling capabilities, being offset!

Dude you can't make up you mind which way you want to go?

I'm only "talking shit" because you were trying to say that I was disseminating bad information.....which it was not!

Who cares if you are lower; mine in propose built....to handle!

And you have done more, well thats up for debate. Changing from lower to lifted numerous does not really count. I have friggin 5k in my motor swap alone.

End of discussion!

EDIT Per BellTech I guess Belltech R&D department knows nothing about the products they produce. Wonder why they say that is does not fit ZQ8 model

Cool beans!

If not I'm sure your more then willing to run out and snap a pic for us!

Fuck I wish I had taken more pics the day I installed mine to illustrate this!

Ok I see what you did there!

Not saying you did it wrong, but I wanted my mounts mounted further out to reap the max benefits from the sway bar. But I wish I had pics, something kept me from mounting mine like yours; hence the reason I cut and ground the factory mounts!

basicly i just want people to know that its up to you and your truck weather or not you need to remove the brackets. its not a have to for some of us that have special trucks.

my truck came from candy mountian.

shuuuuuuuun the non believer. shuuuuuuuuuuuunnn.
