Are there any aftermarket options for performance as far as fuel or spark for the 3.5 liter? For example, fuel rails or bigger injectors? Basically i havent been able to find anything so I was wondering if i was just looking in all the wrong places

alright.for sure. I was just wondering what was out there for fuel injectors. I want to get the big things out of the way first though trust me. I should get getting a ported throttle body soon and gutting the cat this weekend. Then hopefully an efan and tune. You guys think of anything else? gearng would help im sure.

servo in tranny and bump line pressure up in the trans during the tune. Here is a simple bolt on mod list:
Cold Air Intake
ported throttle body
exhaust work (no flowmaster because they are too restrictive)
I personally would remove the cats
E-fan
Tune
4.10 gears
Upgrade trans servos
the coil pack boot thingy mod
new iridium plugs
synthetic oil (not royal purple its overpriced and is crappy compared to the other top oil name brands that are synthetic)

But I'm a fan of Royal Purple and the Denso Iridium plugs

Illl be getting a ported throttle body pretty soon and hopefully servos in the trans by summer. Are flowmasters really that restrictive? I have a flowmaster 40 series on my truck right now and love how it sounds so if possible id like to not have to change it but if it will make a difference I might as well

I love my flowmaster 40, it flows much better than stock and doesnt sound like a ricer like most free flowing mufflers.

the straight through design of other mufflers will give you better flow and hp gains at 6000 rpm, but i would rather keep some low end grunt for highway driving

my .02

idk man i never had stock... however i got the truck with flowmasters..they sounded drone like..very loud.. deep...but when i switched to magnaflow...i felt a difference in throttle response.. better pick up tone... i'll post my mag's...

haha. didnt think the flowmasters were that bad. Thats a bummer though, i really like how it sounds on this truck.

Gonna hi jack for a second

How would the idle quality be with the 80s and pump gas? I want to have the ability to move to e85 later down the road but don't really want to have a crappy idle

Nice prices by the way!

well i am going to have to respond again. i`m the guy who asked about how hard to get to injectors and said i was just curious. since josh brought it up about taking this to another level, my intensions were , there are several aftermarket adaptations for using e85 ethanol in out trucks.i was afraid of really getting flamed on this subject. it is not to replace the injectors, but to put an adaptor at the electrical connection on the injector. but looks to be a hard thing to do on our trucks. unless someone close knows how to get the the injector area. I am a farmer and really like the idea of smog free ethanol.
