Fuel Pump Upgrade?

Got most of my turbo stuff ready. Just waiting till I can afford a meth injection kit and a piping kit for the intake.
Does anyone know of a high volume fuel pump that is a direct replacement for our trucks? Don't really want to use a boost-a-pump.
Help me out you FI guys...or rshadd (you're THE GUY when it comes to knowing these trucks! :))

Our trucks (09-12 v8) the fuel pump is pwm controlled by the fuel pump control module so you cant just replace the pump because alot of the aftermarket pumps dont like the pwm (pulse width modulation)and will not work well. My buddy is installing a turbo on the 07 silverado that uses almost the same fuel system setup like ours and he is going to run a extra pump that is commanded on by a hobbs switch when boost is detected. Ther was a thread over on performancetrucks.net that talked about that setup.

Thanks for the info, Low S-10! Looks like a second pump with a hobbs switch will be the easiest solution.
The turbo project is still probably a few months away, just needed to figure out how to get the gas to it so that I have all my ducks in a row before I start.

Hmmm...very interesting! This looks like an even better solution. Even says can be used with pulse modulation! I like!
Thanks arqangel!

I run a Porsche frame mounted pump on a second pickup i installed in the tank.
it is activated by a hobbs switch in the manifold. It feeds thru a pressure reg on
my fuel rail,so i can adj the fuel flow as need on 28lbs of boost. I also have the
7th injector setup on my Buick GN. It took 6 head gaskets to get it sorted out right.
also use an alcohol inj setup to cool the charge down.

I believe RYANGOODE60 was the first to try this pump in our trucks. I actually installed this pump last week based on his write up. However, I'm having an issue that I haven't addressed yet. The issue with my swap is fuel pressure bleeding down at the startup. So possibly a check value issue. I'm open for suggestions. I don't actually monitor my pressure but don't prime the pump a couple times, it cranks over 3-5 sec before fuel arrives to start it if the truck have been setting even 10 mins. If I crank very soon after running, it fires immediately.

Part number I used was aeromotive 11542, which I believe is the replacement for the 11142. Basically from what I can tell uses a different electrical connector. I bought a spare pump I could try but wonder if something isn't wrong with my mod.

I had to trim the height of the pocket the outlet tube of the pump fits into with the o-ring (if that's call the fuel hat) Now is seems to go deeper into that pocket than stock which makes since the aeromotive has a longer outlet tube. This pump is about 3/8" taller than stock.

Now the stock pump had an extra port on the bottom that sealed against the bottom of the bucket with an o-ring(see photos stock pump and bucket). The aeromotive pump didn't have that extra port in that location

I am looking at a pump on Rock Auto.
2013 Silverado 6.2 Flex Fuel pump >> Airtex #E4005M, this looks promising.
to mod to fit on our tank. the specs look pretty good.

check out a Silverado flex fuel pump. I was told they will
drop right in. check out AirTex pump #E4005M from Rock Auto.
Max flow 110 gph
Max psi= 105

I posted this in my own thread but hoping someone has info

so im going the LQ4 turbo route, and wanting to put the biggest pump with minimal modifications into the tank, I see people sell a 400lph walbro in tank pump that seems to work for people (denmah /sloppymechanic sleeper) but since I want to do a buy once cry once and not have to drop the tank due to lack of fuel in tuning.

will a 450 model fit into the stock pickup or will I need to cut the plastic to make it fit ? for electrical I would most likely run a racetronix fuel pump external relay harness to supply the power needed so I don't burn up the factory harness from amperage draw.
