My Rados' @ the Dealer ***UPDATED***

So a few days ago i started experiencing a slight noise and vibration right around my gas pedal. (NOT MY BRAKE PEDAL) So i keep driving and i start to notice i can feel the bumps on the road right on my pedal. I had to stop for a light and i can hear a thump when i come to a final stop and also feel the bump on my gas pedal. Drove to the dealer yesterday as the problem has become more annoying and louder. I had a "Master Tech" drive my vehicle with me and he definitely notices there seems to be a problem. Colorado gets dropped off today at the dealer, and i dont get a fuking loaner. Dammit! Have ANY of you guys experienced this vibration and noise near your gas pedal. The Tech kept saying, "this has intermediate stering shaft written all over it". He also stated this is a very common problem in Silverados but has never experienced in a Colorado. Any of you guys out there have this going on?

Well the thing is not being sarcastic or anything but its hard to pin point as far as heat becuase it like 100+ here in Arizona. So its kinda hard to get the truck cool. I havent really found it to be only when the truck is hot (temp gague), but then again i never really looked for a relationship between the two. the Tech def did see it though. why do you ask?

Ok, so i just got word from the dealer about my truck, ACCORDING to what i was told, they had several technicians look at it and the problem was isolated to a HOOD LATCH, now i dont know that a hood latch was causing the issue, but we will see. Like i said, I just got a call, ill be picking it up today and hitting the highway immediately and testing this. I dont know how hood latch was causing my gas pedal to vibrate. Now if i go pick up my truck and find out it still has the noise, I AM GOING TO PERSONALY DRILL THE GUY AND THE TECHNICIAN A NEW ASSHOLE.

NOTE: I WAS SUCH AN ASSHOLE YESTERDAY THAT I WAS APPROVED FOR A RENTAL JUST AFTER 2 CALLS OF BEING A COMPLETE :prc:. I dropped off my truck @ 11AM, i get a call @ 5pm. "Hi MR Maldonado, well i just wanted to notify you that when you dropped off your truck i was already booked for the day, your truck will be looked at tomorrow first priority." Now the guy just said he was booked @ 11am, why was i not told this? I could of had my truck all day yesterday and done everything i needed to do, then dropped off my truck right before they close. This is all warranty work, I MEAN THE DAMN TRUCK JUST FUKIN HIT 3,000 miles. WTF!!!!! Details to come when i pick up the truck tonight @ 5pm Pacific time. Stay tuned.......new assholes might be drilled.

P.S. I am a pretty melow dude, funny and cool to chill with, I also like long walks on the beach
But I am not to be fucked with, specially when it comes to my vehicle, I used to work at pep boys, I know how shit goes.

OK just cuz you leave your vehicle at the dealer does not mean you automatically get a loaner or rental. GM will only pay for a rental if your vehicle is down do to a safety concern and vehicle is not safe to drive. But if it can drive out then they won't pay. If the DEALER decides they wanna give you a loaner from their inventory then thats the dealer's decision and they foot that bill themselves, not GM.

Now, i have heard this concern 1 time in the past on Cfans, it was a loong time ago i forget who posted it but I remember the guy was soo frustrated. Said his gas pedal vibrated alot and they even replaced it with no luck. Last i heard he was suppose to check his body mounts or something... wasn't it Hooby? Anyway ill see if i can find it.

I had a noise from my dash area for a long time that i could not figure out, finally i found one of my hood hinges was making it and transferring the noise through my firewall down the trans tunnel to my center console..

Lastly, yea thats pretty messed up that the dealer didn't tell you right away about your truck not being able to be looked at that day however it sounds to me like you were a "walk-in" and you gotta understand that other customers have appointments so they get first priority no matter what. Sometimes these customers show up late so that also throws off the work load. They'll be times i stand around for hours waiting for work to come in, then it comes in and i can't finish in time for the day cuz someone came late for their appointment.

Best thing to do is schedule an appointment preferably the earliest possible.

Yeah, I think it was Hooby that had that same problem. I don't think he ever got it fixed though.

so...let them have it from today until Monday.

Is it that big of a deal that you drive your Mom's car and you have a rental? Make them keep fixing it until it's right...then, if they can't, lemon law the bitch and get something else.

I had the same problem on my colorado, I would hear and feel a popping, especailly when turning, but while going strait too. They replaced the intermediate steering shaft and the problem was gone. I didn't have to do any dickin around either, I got a good tech. Dropped it off at 7am done by noon. Lone Star Chevy in Houston. There service department is good, their sales men are predators, get service there, never buy a vehicle from them... $6500 trade in on a'05 ext cab 4X4 with 40K miles, told him where to go.
