Oil Leak Help

Also could be the oil dipstick tube seal. Just put a new one in about 2 months ago. If you have a manual it could be the clutch master cylinder leaking also. Had to replace the 12 year old one around the same time frame.

I’m referring to the engine oil dipstick tube seal. That rubber looking plug on the front of the bell housing next to the oil pan is where the rear main seal will be. Pull that plug out and see if any oil comes out. If it does then I would think your rear main seal is going.

Also check around where the engine oil dipstick tube enters the oil pan. It may be leaking also. Mine was leaking pretty good and running down the road blowing oil all the way back to the first u joint.

As long as you keep an eye on your oil level you should be fine. I check mine at least once a week due to 333k on the clock and some oil consumption issues.
