Well I recently joined up on here and apparently not a day too late.
I noticed an puddle of oil the snow last night after I got home after driving for about 20 min. Apparently I have had a small leak for about a week now as the first time I noticed it was about a week ago but it was only a few drops so I was not very concerned, possibly cold related. ( Its been in the mid teens here for about a week now.
It was to dark out to take a proper look last night but after spending the night stressing that I may have a larger problem and looking at it this morning I am wondering what am I look at here ( Rear Main Seal?) What could be causing this? The oil has at some point dripped onto the drive shaft and flung oil all over the place, so it look like a mess, but I cant seem to follow a trail to where it is coming from.
I've attached a few pics to show what I am talking about, hopefully they help.
At least it is Sunday and I don't have to go to work, but expecting snow for the rest of the week, so if I can get it figured out before obviously I'd feel a little better.
