Thanx Matt !! It is a Rustolem brand called Painters choice...Excellent on plastics !! Bonds to them but takes like 5-7 days to bond...Or so it says . I went with a satin finish. They have gloss or flat...Really good stuff !!

 

My truck has fabric there instead of plastic. So I guess that wouldn't work.

Thanx Jake !! I have thought about clear coat but it is not needed with this new paint ! When we started stocking it at work the rep. came and had a meeting with all us sales peeps to introduce us to the new stuff and it is really tough !! You gotta give it time to cure/bond is the only bad thing. I went like a week with no door panels on my truck !! LOL

 

Matt...IDK That is what I was trying to get the look of was fabric !! LOL

 

Well it wouldnt be bad on mine, but I have a dark grey interior. And the fabric in the doors is really light grey and it shows everything and doesn't match. Maybe a type of fabric paint would work.

 

Maybe..?? Or a dye of some sort ??

Hey Matt they make a paint for doing fabric. Used to use it when was detailing cars. Can get a few colors at Advance.

 

From what I've heard it works pretty well, I've even heard of people painting their seats, although I wouldn't recommend that. But it's probably worth a try!

 

Mark...The rep. said they done alot of research and design on it before going to market with it...Still would not cut me a deal or no free samples !!! LOL

So is there a need to clear it?

While I was managing restaurants, the booze reps would come in, always got hooked up. Best part of the whole deal, never had to really buy anything,

 

LOL Yeah back in the day the reps. would bring free stuff with them when they came...Now I think the keep it and sell it on flea-bay !! LOL I think it is tough enough not to need a clear top coat...But it would not be a bad idea...

 

Cool.. The clear just helps it clean up easier, and a little extra protection IMO. Looks awesome no matter what. Actually wished I did not have cloth in my door panels.

 

They need sumpin in there...IMO Too plain without sumpin on them...

Reubencanyon...Thanx . I started to cut out the OEM speaker grille and install the aftermarket ones that came with my new speakers but then changed my mind...And painted them..LOL

 

Yeah I just got to do this. Quick ?, does the stock speaker grill popout never paid much attention to em

I did mine before i bought Some black ones. And it all chipped off. If i had to redo them i would use plasti dip.

 

Did not look like the OEM grille would "pop" out...Would need to be cut out ...I think it would be very simple to do if ya wanted it out !! rastock...The paint I used is the good stuff...LOL But time will tell...
