So i got my truck for a great deal from a buddy of mine. price was right and he gave me a sick good trade in value on my wife saturn so i couldn't turn it down. I gotta so this truck out preforms my buds ford in every thing.

Big proplem right now the fender flares are chipping to hell. when i got the truck from the dealer paint was good and it didnt look like there had been and touch up other than the standard hoop chips from SK driving.

So Whats the best course of action to make my fantastic truck look like it did the day i took it off the lot.

Well both sides look the same.

Thans.

Repaint and cover with LINE-X clear. Or, cover with Clear Bra vinyl after you paint it. You will want to replace the Clear Bra after a while because it will get beat up while saving the paint. Another option will be to repaint the add some full length running board style steps that will keep the gravel off the truck. Just my thoughts

x2 that's about your only options. Painted plastic and rocks/gravel are a bad mix and tough to keep protected without a separate covering or a really thick rubberized clear coat. There are some nice transparent vinyl coverings available which work well and are decently priced. I used one on my ATV plastics and it worked awesome but I can't for the life of me remember the name of it.

You can get road tires so it doesn't grab debris? And/or put on mudflaps.

Guess the truck doesn't outperform the Ford in EVERY aspect. LOL

No vehicle is immune to paint chipping, it's impossible.
My previous vehicle had chipped up rockers from 200,000 miles of A/T and M/T tires.

It happens to all these trucks. It's to be expected if you have a body panel that angles forward as it catches the rocks rather than deflecting them. Mudflaps are your cheapest bet, and running boards will also do the trick.

my dually has the clear film on the rear fenders, dunno what brand but it sucks, bugs put holes on it lol. my rado gets chips all in the paint too, best thing would prollly be to do the bedliner spray like some people do across the rockers and flares, but then the crap is never going to come off, idk if anyone has tried plastidip for this, or how well it hardens to know how good it would do
