Hello All,
Decided to post a few pictures of what it took to remove that stupid air injection emissions garbage that's installed on 08+ trucks. Mine started getting progressively louder after each winter season (making me think the bearings went bad inside the blower unit) so instead of replacing a useless piece of equipment, i just removed it.
To do this you will need:
-A tune to disable the fault codes after the equipment is removed.
-Aluminum block off plate (PN 12574378)
-Gasket (PN 24577193)
-Rubber cap to block outlet on intake box
Both block off plate and gasket can be found at a GM parts counter (mine cost $14.32 with tax).
