i use royal purple in my truck and my wifes '05 Dodge Ram Hemi Sport and i love it

Do it bro, you'll be thanking us later! I know there was a dude that dyno tested a bunch of oils in his car. Royal Purple had 9 HP increase over conventional oil. More HP increase over any other motor oil including Mobile 1.

 

Yeah runs smoother from Idle to redline, well worth it!

I go 5k-7k miles on mine with K&N gold filters! I also have it in the rear diff too!

idk yet...dont have a huge choice here...Little town...Why got someone in mind? Ill either do it my self...or maybe just leave it at like walmart or something like that...we are gettin snow so most likely a quick lube or something

 

do it yourself. save you money. it's an oil change it doesn't get much simpiler

Wow is RP really that much better than Mobil1? I get 5qt containers of Mobil1 for $22 at walmart.

Don't mean to steal your thread but do you guys that use Royal Purple also use there oil filters?

 

I'd say DIY but yeah snow.... I got mine done at JIFFYLUBE two days ago, switched to synthetic and yeah they raped me on the price so I'm going to buy a drip pan and start doing it myself!

 

For a full Royal Purple oil change for me, oil and filter, costs me $81.

 

Thats exactly what I paid was $81; $35 was for labor.

 

Cost me under 60 bux and I do it myself!

 

I also do it myself. Here the Royal Purple bottles are $9/qt and the filter cost $20.

So I'm going a little cheaper and ordered a case of RP online for $88 for 12 bottles.

 

For filters to save a few bux and have have quality. Go with Napa Gold or Wix filters!

I had about 6 K&N Gold filter that I bought with a gift card from Stylin Trucks. Otherwise, Napa or Wix filters!

 

I used to run RP. Then it got up to 9$ a quart. I switched to Mobil 1 and havent noticed a difference except for the extra money in my wallet. I can do two Mobil 1 changes for the price of 1 RP change.

 

I get Mobil 1 for $19.89 a gal . Meijers or walmart .

i just went wit mobile one.....Havent really drove the truck much but so far havent really notice a difference except for it warming up faster...

 

Still can't go wrong with Mobile 1.

I have noticed that since my last oil change which was around May and about 9,000 miles ago that the Royal Purple oil still holds true.

 

yea i was hopin i could at least hold out longer on an oil change wit this oil...I was hopin i could go like 6000 miles....think i can?

 

With Mobile 1, easily. You should be able to get at least 7500 miles with their oils. Though, never try to "push" your limits. If you are unsure, always be safer then sorry.

 

yea i think im just go to 5000...that will still save me some money in doing the swap to full...but i just cant see changing it out at 3000 after paying so much more...for "better" oil
