im thinking sometime in June possibly, if we were to go on a holiday weekend it would just be rediculous out there!

Maybe early june, so its not 100 degrees outside!

im down for when ever! it all comes down to how many people will be available n when :/ but i heard that it gets really bz and u need to be there friday night to get a voucher/pass for saturday depending on how bz it is! soooo ill have to look into that when june comes around, im not apposed to going in may when its a little cooler probably have less people to worry about

Yeah, I think May is usually less busy (aside from Memorial Weekend). I still got to find out what session of field training I'm going to (pending I make it), won't know for a while.

Back in the 70 they had trucks in the side of the sand hills - they still there ?

As you come up the hill to enter the park they were on the right side in the hill .
We stayed at the camp grounds on the road in to the park .

Well, I've been doing some research/asking around and found out the dunes are very rough in the spring the sand is all wet, hard packed and very unforgiving! The best time to go is actually in the summer sometime in the July - August window when the sand has had numerous hot days to dry out from the winter/spring. Which is understandable so we will see when the time gets closer n were in the spring will have to figure a weekend or a couple that work for everyone

projected dates as of right now im looking at July 13-14 or 20-21 what do you guys think?

the way i figure thats the two weekends after memorial weekend so it shouldnt be to busy because im imagining not many people will be able to get two weekends off in a row!

or even sometime in early August? let me know what you guys think?

I think if you just pick a date, people will start answering. Kinda like a "you build it, they will come" sort of thing. Then amend as necessary from there. Kinda like how Shaun (Gway) sets up the offroading ones.

well nobody is taking reservations in the Silver lake area until March 1st :th_1j2q1i: i will start calling and getting prices then! not sure on dates for sure do to the variety of events they hold during dune season which we need to avoid in order to make sure we have access to park... which i can find out as soon as i get ahold of the hotels sorry about the delay :?
