I had a system in my canyon. 2 12' kicker cvts (shallow mounts in kicker boxes) with the amp mounted under the seat. There's not a lot of room to work with if your tall and have to have the seat pushed back.

ya im 6'2'' so I know about the seat pushed back and I have the 40/60 bench seat and looking to put ext cab seats in and a center console in. just was looking for some pic to see other 355 creations.

 

I'm running two Rockford Fosgate Prime 10" with a 300w Kicker Amp. I have the subs facing the rear of the truck. I'm between 6' and 6'1" depending on the day and have plenty of room still.

 

thanks for the pic and design wh1pple, nice set up. why do you have them facing to the back?? dose it sound better that way, or dose it fit better? just wandering.

 

No problem. Thanks, I built the shelf and amp rack out of scrap wood from work lol.

There's people that say it sounds better because it gives the sound a chance to bounce off the back wall and fill the cab better, but I did it for fitment. With it faced the other way, I couldn't put my seat far back enough and I was practically eating the steering wheel.

 

I have had 2 different systems in my truck...

The original was 2 12" kenwood subs and went all the way across the back. It was an angled face box ~18" tall, 11" bottom and 4" top.

Second system was a single 12" CompVR in the same type of box but it didnt stretch all the way across the back. It was 18" tall, 13" bottom and 5" top. This box was designed to allow me to lean my seat back and have more room in general but was still too big once I put in H3 seats. So warning, if you want to do something like this, measure your length carefully.

most of you have already seen this but since it was asked....... 2 clarion 12's in r/t boxes, clarion amps bolted right to the back plastic. didnt have to remove my stock jack but its a dummy. thats the new location for the distrubution point for led and neon wiring. seat goes back the whole way even with those grills. i did have to use a spacer so the subs would fit depth wise in those boxes.

The pics of mine are all over the place. My subs are not shallow by any stretch of the imagination. I have my seat forward a ways because I prefer that driving position, but my dad can get his gangsta lean on if he wants to.

 

ok so new design since jl stoped making the 13.5 jl w1v2 im going to go with 2 12'' w3v3 now lol still looking for a good price will have pic as soon as I get everything and start building
