When I swap spark plugs im gonna put in those e3 or whatever they are called. I saw a program and they dyno tested them and they have 4% better gas milage and more power then the other after market ones they tested.
bosch iridium +4. you'll notice your 04 run much smoother with them. 2006+ got iridiums from the factory i believe so i'd recommend all 04-05 guys do the switch.
i searched all over for the e3 plug info and have found nothing on this site for it. Everything ive found through google and tv said they were awesome.
Any spark plug with more than 1 side electrode is useless and a waste. Electricity will always take the shortest path, there's no need for more than 1.
Well , Carmax60 came by 2 weeks ago with an 04 that ran fair. Hes got a K&N CAI and flowmaster exhaust. Truck has right at 100K but ran fair...We changed out his plugs with bosch iridium and it made a hella difference.. Ran quiter, better mpg and much more responsive....DOnt know if they last but it certainly made a believer outta me.
i've put about 30k on them so far and they still seem to run as smooth as the first day i installed them. not that i'd noticed any slight difference anyways but yeah no problems with them so far.
So I just reviewed this thread as I was looking for the best spark plug for a 2004 Canyon. It seems that Denso iridium plugs last and give the best performance. I've read a lil on the Bosch ir plugs and have determined that they just don't last as long and my cause probs.
I have only just hit the 50,000 mile mark on my 2004 and the stock plugs are fine. I'm looking for any additional input on the subject of performance and plugs.
someone had put the E3 plug in my truck before i bought it and had to tak it into the dealer for a rough idle and the fixed it with 4 new plugs and 4 new coil packs because the E3 plugs have a higher resistance and since this happend they did not cover it under warrenty! E3=Piece of Shit
Good deal thanks for the additional input guys. Sounds like the Denso ir's are the way to go. While we're talking about it, what about replacing the wires. Is there a brand out there that's the best for performance?
^Right thanks, I think I knew that. I guess I was just thinking of anything to promote performance, and forgot.
