Hello: I have 2011 Colorado 2.9 LT that I purchased new. It has 129000miles. Yesterday I noticed while driving that there was a sound that came up every minute or so. It was accompanied by a sound similar the windshield washer system. Both sounds were in deep background. The best I can explain the beeping sound is to say it was low key and sounded like "BlooBleep". After turning off the ignition and sitting in the truck for a couple of moments I heard the sounds.
Any ideas? Appreciate any help.

No reported abnormalities with the truck operation or the instrument indications? If the ignition is off and none of the doors were opened, it appears that whatever is creating the sound is on the RAP (Retained Accessory Power) circuit. That would be windows, radio and wipers. Try to duplicate the sound again, with the ignition off as before. If the sound appears, open a door quickly and see if it stops. Also try it with the radio turned off. Do you keep anything plugged into the accessory outlets?

Thanks for quick reply, Cart7781: In my post I said I could hear something sounding like the windshield wiper motor in the background. That sound seems like the one you would get when there was no fluid in the wiper tank but on very low key. The tank was not dry today but I filled it to the top but not a lot of fluid came out when I checked. I checked it again later on and it wiped like normal. I seldom use the radio. There is one abnormal thing: The TPMS system does not work and neither does Remote Keyless feature. It has been out for a year or so because my dealer wanted over a $1000 to fix it. I can unlock my doors and keep air pressure correctly by myself. I was driving back from Tampa and took a bad turn ending up a concrete sidewalk "thunking my truck on the way up and the way down". I will do some additional look-see before taking it to a dealer. I already have an appointment to see my dealer for a break jor later week.

Thanks again,

Do you know what the problem with the TPMS is? Is it possible that the tires were rotated and the system not relearned? There is a procedure (TPMS Sensor Matching Process) on page 10-58 of the Owner's Manual. You will need a source of air to accomplish it.

What is the issue with the RKE (remote)? Do both remotes fail to work?

About a year ago I noted that my RKE function had a smaller than normal range when I was thirty of forty feet away. The TPMS began to die around the same time. I would fill up the tires and nothing changed. About two years ago I found that one of the TPMS parts had died. I replaced it for $100. A few months later I replaced all four tires and at the same time I replaced all four TPMS gadgets and it saved me some money. Later the the system did not work. The dealership did not tell me they died. But they did not function. Several months before that I went to a store named, I believe, Batteries Are Us and ask them to change the battiers in BOTh Fobs. They told me that there was still life in the batteries (they were older than 10 years) but I said replace them. I called the dealer, they checked things out and told me the radio receiver or transmitter (not sure what it was) had died and it would cost a thousand dollars for the TX/Reciever and two hundred to fix the FOBS. I declined the offer to fix it up. Take care.
