ok its a mountin questions so here goes. how are you guys mountin aftermarket tweeters? my truck came stock with tweeters and i was wonderin if i can just take the stock ones out and replace them with somethin or do i need to cut the grille out of the door panel to mount them?

i'd like to see what you guys have if you have any pics and brands would be nice as well. i plan to get rockford fosgate tweeters cuz ive had a set of them before and they sounded great and have a nice factory look to them as well.

does anyone else have the chrome trim ring around the tweeter grilles on the door panel? if so can it be removed without lookin stupid and how do you remove them?

thanks for any input thats given.

i would pull the panel off and mount them in the stock location if you have stock tweets, i think it just wouldn't look right having another set in the doors or on the a-pillars that are mounted differently

well what i meant was cut the little grille thats over the stock tweeter out and mount the new ones in that location. it would be flush mount there doin it like that. how does the stock tweeters mount to the inside of the door? if i can just pull the panel and replace the factory ones i"ll do that. im havin trouble talkin myself into cuttin the door panels bein the truck is only a year old. lol

My aftermarket is simply attached (glued) behind the factory grills. You can see the mess in this pic.
