Will velcro work for what?

I used spray adhesive and glued the Velcro strip to the carpet under the seat. Just the peel and stick adhesive to the under seat Kenwood self powered sub was fine. So far so good. Didn’t want to drill holes thru the floor and give water an entry spot or a place for rust.

If you are working with a crew cab there used to be a crew cab door panel replacement kit for a rear door I believe it holds a single 10"

I have an x-cab

I tried to calculate a small enough custom box to fit better underneath the rear jumper seat (3 1/2" tall), but even using the thinnest of HDF, and top mounting to gain mounting depth, the idea was done in by the fact that the sub was now in contact with the seat preventing excursion. adding anything to protect it would just increase the height and I was already an eighth over.

I wound up building a small 8" low profile system that straddles the trans tunnel with the amp under the rear cup holder (it's small too) and the sub facing the carpet albeit slightly raised to breathe. It is relatively very shallow and un-intrusive. cover with carpet to hide yo shite.

BTW 150w can be pretty impressive, I never knew.
