So I take it 2.5" is the way to go for the 3.5? I know 3" is overkill fro these trucks unless you have a built engine of some kind... I'm gonna go with the Borla Pro XS, Unless some of you MBRP owners out there can convince me otherwise... Thanks for everyone's input!

Yeah go with borla!! can't go wrong with it... best of all, the borla exhaust has a million mile warranty (aka lifetime) and if anything goes wrong with it, get it replaced for another borla and only pay labor (for some places).

my friend is running a 2.5" straight pipe to a flowtech :lol:


laugh at his $20 muffler but the lil 4bangger runs 15.3s in the 1/4mile spinning lol

Thats what I figured because I'm running full 2.5 no cats from my header with a super 40 and it doesn't have any low end bog at all thats weird that the 4 and 5 cyls run the same size tubing but 3" would be over kill on the 5 cyls im sure...

 

In what aspect is the 3" piping overkill for the 5 cyl's? Cause that's what you were recommending to me so I'm curious.

3" has changed the power band on dyno runs. It has been proven to hurt bottem end.

 

The Flowmaster on my truck sounds weird with the header. I might try borla or magnaflow and see if there is a difference.
