My 2008 Colorado I5 3.7: came with the K&N Air intake system. I would like to go back to the stock air intake.

would an air intake from an 2005 2.8L work on my truck?

That is a great question. The short answer is I dont know. My guess it can be made to fit

All Colorados/Canyons from 2007 to 2012 with the revised I4s and I5s had secondary air injection added to them. This means that the intake box had to have an additional hole plus a tube connecting to an air injection pump that mixed fresh air with the exhaust

All Colorados/Canyons from 2004 to 2006 did not have secondary air injection. You can use the air box from the '05 listed, however I would suggest getting rid of the air injection pump and installing a block off plate. You can expect to have the CEL on and at least 5 codes related to the missing secondary air injection pump. Those monitors can be turned off via HPTuners
