I would really like to run yellow fog light bulbs in my '09 Canyon. The OEM white halogen bulb is a 9045. Is the 9145 Sylvania Fogvision bulb a direct swap?

I called Sylvania and answered my own question. The sockets on the 9045 and 9145 Fogvision are different. They still do not offer a yellow bulb for my truck.
If your state has vehicle inspections, they may flag you for yellow fog lights. Not saying they will, but each state has different rules and regulations pertaining to vehicles.
When I wanted to change to amber fog lights on my 2010, I could not find a yellow bulb for direct replacement. I went ahead an did a LED conversion using one of Diode Dynamics setups. Had to open up the rear housing to make clearance and then I just made my own custom removable rear cover. Turned out real nice I thought and I had awesome amber fog lights instead of driving lights.
I used an amber “broken lens” repair tape.
Note: install the tape in warmer weather.
