I have a kenwood Kdc-mp335 deck and im looking to put speakers in front and back as well as amplify them.

I decided in putting the Alpine type r's in, which I believe these are the ones for the front that I found searchin the threads:
Alpine SPR-17C Full Range Car Speakers at Onlinecarstereo.com

Are people putting the same in the back? And those with a Ext. Cab what amp fits under the passenger seat well? I dont want to take up any more space than I have too.

those are the ones that fit

look for a 4 ch amp thats no more then 400 watts rms. that should be a rather small amp and should fit just fine under the seat

the speakers you posted up are 4 ohms a piece. if you use that amp you would be at 75 x 4. not bad and honestly i would go with it

basicly the less ohm's the more power. ohms really doesnt play a part until you start bridging amps for subs

Soo say I find one that is 1200w but only puts out 100w rms to each of the type r's. Does the overall watts matter as long its not pumping more than the speakers can handle? Im guessing you mentioned 400 just for my size concerns, correct?

After searching for a place who still had some in stock, I bought this nasty lil class D!

Alpine PDX-4.100 (pdx4100) 4-Channel Power Density Digital
Thats sweet. Wish I could find one but like you said they are hard to find now days. The newer models are going for like 360$! lol Im trying to keep it to 250 or lower.

That's impossible, a 1200w amp draws in 1200w and that power has to go somewhere. Most likely it'll blow your speakers if you hook them up. basically you need an amp that does 100w per channel (100 x 4) @ 4 ohms or w/e your speakers are rated at.
