I'm betting the drone will be fine, enjoy the truck brotha, you're supposed to hear it!

...

Is there a particular reason you didn't just say father/dad?

The exhaust is loud, but not bad enough to justify the cost of sound deadening. The worst part is I can't really sneak up on anyone now...

Yea, he's not my father. I guess he would be my step-dad, but I dislike using that word.

My real dad hates that I customized my truck. He didn't like when I dropped it 3/4. He hated the plastidip wheels. And he has hated my radio/sub since I had them in my old car back in 2008. No telling what he is going to say when he sees how low it is now with tubbed front fenders lol.

So, I remembered I never posted a picture of my new battery box, so between rain showers all weekend, I ran out and got a picture. I also decided to get in a picture of the stickers currently on my truck, two for one kind of thing. I also finally got a ghost sticker to put on "Casper", even though it's Boo from Super Mario and not an actual Casper ghost.

I haven't done much lately, but decided to do a quick update.

I made a rack to fit in the bed (over my spare and battery box), and a ramp to go with it for my four wheeler and such. I just need a bit of expanded metal to finish it up and paint it.

I've been running some Sylvania (Silverstone ultra I believe) headlights for a while now, I just like how white they are. I got bored with the high beams, and changed those to the Hella Optilux yellow bulbs. I'm not sure exactly how legal they are, but how often do you drive down crowded roads with the brights on...

And just to make sure I couldn't raise my truck back up, I used the leaf springs I removed to make a pretty awesome rocking chair.

It's been a while...but I've got a little update. Hopefully I'll get to rebuild my front suspension soon. Just got in a nice box containing some new upper control arms. All I need now is new tie rods, rotors, hubs, and shock bushings...

And yea, I went with royal purple. They look sick.

Hey everyone. I've been busy, so I'm finally getting around to posting this.

I got those MMW upper control arms installed the weekend that I got them in. I also got new tie rods, and rotors, and I had to remove and reinstall my coilovers correctly. Turns out, if someone seems unenthusiastic to help you, don't let them help. It could save you some time and money.

What I thought was bushings going out, causing a squeak in the front, was actually a washer installed incorrectly on each side that was slowly being eaten away on my coilovers. The coilovers were saved, but I'll never let that guy work on my truck again.

I didn't get many pictures of the install because of this frustration, but I managed to get a couple.

What's going on everyone?!

I've been a bit inactive recently, partially due to planning a low budget c10 build. I've come to a point where Casper will most likely remain for a while as a dependable daily.

I've made a few upgrades in the past couple months that I should add. I switched my 15s for some Escalade 17 inch rims. I bored them out in the barn, and they came out damn good.

I then swapped my factory leafs (with one removed) for the Belltech drop leafs, and factory shocks for Monroe 762 air shocks. The leafs squeaked and the air lines didn't want to stay in place. I regretted it immediately, but a little bit of wd40 and extra zip ties took care of it. I ran the air lines separately up to my battery box.

A couple weeks ago I pulled the door molding pieces off. Then hit the remaining glue with the rubber eraser wheel. Which didn't take it all off as I had assumed. I had to go buy a clay bar kit and polish the shit out of them doors lol.

I've got a picture of my rims, one of after the springs, shocks, and door moldings, and a picture of my c10.

The roads I drive on a normal basis aren't that bad, but I've lived around here my whole life, so I know which roads to avoid lol. There are still businesses and neighborhoods I won't even attempt. Why they like speed bumps and steep inclines around here, I'll never know. I can never forget the time I got high centered pulling into Academy...

Looks nice !!!
Really good wrenching !!! LOL

Did I hear someone say C10?

Thanks man! It took a while, but I like how it came out.

Yea, my first truck. Got it when I was 14, ran it in the yard till the ignition broke. It ended up sitting in a pasture for somewhere around 10 years. Pulled it out a few weeks ago, changed the fluids, hotwired the ignition, and it ran like it did the day I got it. Didn't even puff smoke on the start up.

Hey everybody. I've been gone for a little while, but I'm trying to make my way back. I got a few little things to add to my list.

I put in some factory fog light housings with some 9005 yellow bulbs. Since my truck didn't come with fogs, I just wired them to a switch inside the truck. Now, with the headlight mod, I can run all the lights on the front at the same time.

I wired in a rear view camera, which I will admit isn't working perfect at the moment, not really sure why. But it is mounted and looks awesome. Since I'm too low to run a spare tire under the truck, and removed the tire hoist, I wasn't using the hole on the bumper for the rod to go through anyhow.

And I don't know why people say there is no room for a subwoofer in a crew cab. Passengers just have to be a little less comfortable. No big deal. Also, this much space for a sub is slightly ridiculous for a guy who mostly listens to rock.

Just read through this build . Everything looks great Mike. Love the fabrication work. I wish I was that talented.
Thanks man. I wouldn't say its talent. I've had a good bit of practice. Still welding for a living, but the job I have now isn't cool about building parts on the clock.
