Dont make fun of me lol, but I've been super curious for a while if a 2j swap would work. I wanted to swap a 6.0 but everyone and there mom has an ls swap, I can't find one person that has put a 2j in a colorado, just a 2j s10. I'm almost positive it would fit, I have a 2.8 4 banger and I've seen someone swap a duramax into one (look it up on youtube it has 1600 ponies) but ik it would fit but would the wiring harnes match up? Just a hypothetical want to know what yall think.

2JZ is a great idea actually:
1) It'll bolt up to the manual trans with a MK3 1JZ Bellhousing
2) It'll definitely fit, because the 4.2 Trailblazer I6 will go with only minor mods

Yes ar5 transmission is the same as a r154. You need a 1jz bell housing and I’ve read something about having to grind the input shaft down a bit.

built it during covid lock down 1.5j running the ar5 trans with Tilton triple plate quartermaster
Not sure on fitment of the 2JZ, but I'm a fan of Barra 6 cyl coming out of Australia as an alternative... if you can live with sacrilege of a Ford Motor in a Chevy. lol
