Well guys over the last week I have made a bit of progress. I was able to install my LED license plate lights, put 35w 5000k HIDs in for my lows, and painted/dyed my H3 cloth buckets (they were tan) which are going in tomorrow!

LEDs/Halos no flash

LEDs/Halos with HID lows on:

License plate LEDs:

H3 seats, you can see overspray but I promise it is only because of the flash, they are a nice dark black around the sides even in direct sun:

Image

Got my new header and head studs installed!

Image

Image

Added Belltech F/R Anti-sway bars to the mix, what a difference!

Sadly I couldn't really get a good pic of the swaybars with the truck only on floor jack/jack stands

Added chrome gauge bezels, LED cluster, and white needles:

KR Fabs low pro transmission crossmember - this thing is sweet. Pics soon.

Re: My truck over the years....

looks good, how does that hood fit?
good luck with the ddm tuning hid's.
nice overall turn around.
Hood fits great and is a really nice hood. The bodyshop was impressed with its fit and finish when they painted/installed it

Looking good. Hope to see it tomorrow.
unless things change for you... you will see it tomorrow! haha

Re: My truck over the years....

what hood is that, i thought it was a goodmark, were did you get it from... i looked on there web site and it just shows a ram air style.
It is a Goodmark.. it's also sold under the name "keyparts" on summitracing. So it was sold as a KeyParts Cowl Hood

Re: My truck over the years....

Now that I have regular cab, I'm constantly looking at what other members are doing or have done to their RC. Inspiring!

So what's on the next mod list?
Your license plate LEDs (waiting on arrival), HIDs from DDM (waiting on arrival), white gauge needles (waiting on LED cluster purchase), and H3 Seats (waiting on cleaning). All of those already purchased!

Then there are: header and tune, LED cluster, Belltech 2xAdj coilover, swaybars, and drop leafs w/ 1" blocks. As well as c-notch, trac-bars and your efan. I am hoping to do most of this within the year :)

Oh and possibly the new aluminum head that has been talked about recently.

Re: [UPDATED 5/22 with more mods!] My truck over the years....

Hey man just wondering how you like that carpet bed liner? I am considering this over a spray in kind and just curious how it does in the rain/weather and as it ages
Honestly I love it, I have gotten constant questions about it over the 8 years I have had it.. yes 8 years with every night and day spent out in the weather (except for a few special occasions lol). The durability of it is unquestionable however being that it is carpet it has stiffened over the years and isn't really soft to the touch like it used to be. The truck has also been used to move, carry fire wood, carry sod, etc so it has seen everything pretty much. It has even survived fireworks thrown into it (dumbass friend lol)

The carpet liner is awesome for people who like to sit in the bed of their truck or be in the bed at all because it has some cushioning under it which makes it MUCH more comfy than a plastic liner or spray in.

One last thing...the velcro on the tailgate isnt all the way at the top so it will eventually start to kinda sag.

The Godfather: thanks!

UPDATE: my new header has arrived and is being brought to the ceramic coating place tomorrow!

Re: mods thread [UPDATED 7/9] - Clickable index!

Truck's looking great, love the headers! Have you had any issues with the bolts backing out at all?

Also, are your H3 seats fabric or leather? They almost look like suede from the pics!
Thanks!

the H3 seats are cloth/fabric. The centers were originally tan and I lazily spray dyed them gray resulting in the gray getting on the black parts too which is what shows up in pictures but not normally.

The only problem with bolts backing out that I have with the header is my o2 plug keeps coming out...I am on my 4th o2 plug for the second o2 sensor hole. In terms of the head bolts I am having no issues with the studs that I used to replace the stock bolts.

I love seeing these builds.

BTW after you done the sway bar mod, I was able to find a used one for my lowered 4x4 and love it. Great mods!
Awesome! Yeah the sway bars are unbelievable. I can't wait to get my coilovers to go with it... thing is going to be an agile beast!
