Ladies and Gents,

I wanna get info on what after market fuel pumps you all are running, more specifically for boosted applications. I dont see anything from running a search for fuel pumps. Need to know so i can decide on what i should get. Gathering this information can be great for a sticky for the community

Also, as a request, if anyone mayhap to have pictures or is willing to type up a how-to for changing out the pump, that would be wonderful. I have never personally changed out the pump it self.. just the entire whole pump/sending unit combo on a different vehicle.

cheers,

Pumps for Colorado's

Aeromotive 340 Part number 11142 fits but needs little trimming but can fit in the bucket

340 Stealth Fuel Pump - It's here! - Aeromotive

#325 (aeromotive) is FCPM is the preferred pump as its compatible with the computer and its straight plug in play with no modifications and fits into the bucket.

325 Stealth Fuel Pump - Aeromotive

Walbro 450- gut out the fuel bucket and then dropped the new pump in with a new plastic feed tube and modified the plug. Bypass the FCBM and remove fuse for FSCM and use a racetronic harness. Reference Return style fuel system provided by Hotrado

the topic of fuel pumps related arn't really discussed at length :/ i've been reading on
LLV.MA5 build on the forced induction section. to my knowledge the 2.9L stock pump can handle 400hp (15psi boost) according to him but i'm not sure if theres a difference between between 2.9 & 2.8. I've always known and been told that its good practice to get a new/faster flowing pump when dealing any forced induction

i've red up in the past about walbro 450 about something barely clearing something in one of the threads?? but i personally dont know how you guys either mod and or fit an aftermarket pump into one of these

or not.. which is my main question
