1BADI5, the gibson catback on a 3.5 is louder than a straight pipe.
alot of people on this forum say the truck sounds like shit with alot of different exhaust, but people are always trying to get a v8 sound out of an inline 5 cylinder.
we recently had a socal meet, and one guy was running a turndown after the second cat and it sounded awesome in my opinion. our trucks sound like what they are, mid sized trucks, i have my exhaust flanged so i can run
1) Turndown after 2nd cat
2) SLP Loudmouth 1
3) Flowmaster 50
i've aalso heard the gibson cat-back and the mbrp turndown exhaust
the MBRP is a good balance of sound, has a good deep rumble at idle, and doesnt sound bad under load.
the gibson i heard was on the Mcneil racing truck, and when we had my 3.7 running next to his, when he would rev it was louder than my 3.7 without an exhaust on it!
i currently run the SLP loudmouth 1, which is basically a hollow tube, and i love it. but im also not a person trying to get a v8 sound out of my truck, my flowmaster is the closest to that sound you can get while being under load
i know this is alot to read, so i'l just drop some videos at the end.
My Flowmaster 50 on a 3.7L
and my SLP LM1 which is basically muffler-less, since this video, the popping has gone away, the computer re-learned with the new muffler and the wide open-ness of having the SLP, the flowmaster had lots of backpressure
