I dont know if this is in the right thread but does anyone know how or have pictures of your battery box removed?

I want to do this to clear out a little room in the engine bay to look a little better.

Thanks in advanced

your going to still need something to hold the battery in place, unless your relocating the battery to the bed or something. i removed my lid and vent hose but left the bottom to have a place for it to sit. i have it held down to that with a mini tie-down.

There is a lip to hold down one side of the battery built into the wheelwell and you just use the factory tie down on the other side. The battery is actually what holds the battery box in when its bolted down. Its pretty simple, when you take out your battery you'll see what I'm talking about.I don't have any pics cause I'm at work, sorry

Yup, you don't have to set the battery up like I did. I wanted a little bling to go with the AEM to balance out the engine bay.

If you get the 34/78 sized Optima, it comes with a clamp that you can bolt in with the stock bolt in the stock location.

Here's Izzy's.

The box is just for battery cooling I thought. I junked mine as soon as I got the Optima for my system.

Yep I have been running my red top the same way as DB since 04 and no issues. I had to get rid of my box so I could mount my HIDs the way I wanted to.

As long as the battery is a size 34/78, it doesn't matter who it's made by and for what vehicle. It will mount in the stock location ;)
