Are black door handles available for my 2010 Crew Cab through GM...any other vendor? I know painting is an option, but I'm concerned they'll get scratched up pretty easily if it's not a factory finish.

you can order them raw plastic

but yes painting them is def an optinion that i would recommend. i had mine painted and no scratches yet. aftermarket painting is by far better then factory painting esp with the paint job our trucks recieved.

what forrest said

if no one will trade you, you could buy raw plastic ones then have them smoothed and painted but those are your 2 optinions.

I wouldn't want to do a NASCAR entrance at age 66 ...6'3"...280#'s. Not a pretty sight.
I guess I'll leave 'em chrome for the time being.
Thanks for the info.

Well I called the dealer.
They do come in black. All other colors are paint to match.
Four black ones would be right around $300 out the door.
I didn't ask how much the unpainted set would be, but it would probably work out pretty much the same after professional painting.
Not sure black is that beautiful..even on a truck.
I'll have to sleep on it for a while before pulling the trigger.

ya your right they are about that much after you buy a set and have them painted. if a dealership has them for 300 i wonder how much they would be online?

Yeah that's my concern..paint bonding over chrome. I know it can be done...,but I'll just save my pennies for the real thang.

Sorry I'm late..
Forrest we got you covered!
I have handles here to paint, you do not have to do without if you want a set painted. All you have to do is find a member that wants your chrome ones in exchange for factory plastic ones. I will send you a painted set, you send yours to the member that wants chrome, and they send plastic to me. Three people are happy and all is good. Most members would be willing to cough up a few bucks to go to your style and that is money towards my paint!
