i like the baudoux bar ive just only seen one on a truck, and heard he had some problems with it...and if i remember right it was a pretty good deal....the brush guard is all over same with bull bars....which is where i think i messed up......

i think it was the fit...he had to grind it down a little, but can remember....they also said the welds look pretty crappy...but thats cause it comes unpainted...once it was painted i thought it looked pretty good..

 

Oh ok, yea I emailed them and they said they dont do any painting, which I thought was pretty gay. I can do grinding and painting to make her look good, I just wish I had all the tools to make one myself!

 

yea same here....if i had the tools i would just build a bumper....well go for this and if u dont like it u can always sell it.....maybe to me!!

 

haha, very true. I would like to get it photoshop'd on the truck first just to make sure and Im bout to do a 1" body lift so im wondering if this will fit after that.

 

ya it will still fit, just sit one inch lower...

 

yea but its made so that bar with sit flush with the bumper and go across the front. Im wondering if it would look weird sitting alittle lower

 

the prerunner one will still look great sitting one inch lower relative to the body lift. it'll match the lines of the truck better.

 

looking back at the pics, you are very right! it would sit almost flush with the front bumper.

yea I was scared at first too! Ive emailed them but they have always gotten back to me in the same day which is great. They want $250 for the bar plus shipping, its not painted or anything, but you can paint it for under $30.

 

What are its mounting points like?

 

i thought it mounted just like the tedge bar...but cant remember now...

That's what I thought but wasn't sure. I don't have tow hooks though...the work truck trim doesn't have them and I didn't pay enough attention to them on my 05 CC Z71 so I don't remember exactly how/where they mounted.:gd:

yall crack me up! im waiting till I get my 1" body lift on and then my next pay check to order my prerunner bar. Yall are right about the mounts. I talked to a guy on collyfans that has it and he says it mounts to the holes of the stock tow hooks, which I dont have so Im gunna have to drill some holes. No biggy though.

 

What trim level do you have that you don't have the tow hooks either?

I haven't searched very deep to find pictures of how the tow hooks mount, but I'll try and shoot a couple of pics tomorrow where I THINK they'd mount if mine came with them. We may have the holes already but need to finish drilling them through. I know that doesn't sound right but just bear with me.:lol:
