In my wifes jeep and my work truck f150 I can get all the local stations cleAr and I can get them for a large distance away.

With my Colorado the local channels go in and out and I have to use the scan feature when I am on a trip. It didn't get any better or worse when I switched from stock to pioneer headunit

Any known fix

LMAO.

Antenna base could also be at fault if cleaning the threads don't work. Poor connection at cable side

He probably didn't get the GM to aftermarket antenna adapter so the outer shield isn't making contact. I just threw mine together without an antenna adapter for a few days while I waited for it to be delivered and I would only get 2 stations that were a couple towns over clearly and all the others were crap.

The problem we see at the dealership with torrents, equinox, and NBS equinox is the coaxial and the antenna base need replace. Also a possibility of a poor connection at the base where coaxial connects.
