Im back from the dead! lol i got the cab from the salvage yard we deal with at work i couldnt pass it up for 350.......

 

Damn that was a steal of a deal...........so when are you starting the tear down?

 

well all i gotta say is i am thankful i have a 4 day weekend..... a lot of body work to be done!

the plans for paint scheme are gunna be black through the hood likei have it now the roof and dip into the gate with a silver and purple pinstripe to outline the colors.... (the purple is a lil touch to honor my girlfriend whom beat her battle with non hodgkins lymphoma)... and black flares.... and absolutely NO CHROME!!!!!! i also plan to do the center of the bumper valance silver as well like the avalanche's.

 

And stay tuned next year because its gunna be Evolution #3 AXE IFS YOTA SAS!!!!!

wow I think this is the first i've seen a rusty rado

 

Both my rockers are rusted all the way through and my box. My 2005 colly with 150K has lived up here in the salt all its life. When I bought it with 98k with fiberglass running boards I took them off because they kept unbolting. Took them off and nothing but rust no wonder why they wouldint stay on tight! I took a wire wheel on a grinder to the rust then used primer and paint. I just need to just cut it all off and put on rock slidders! I can try and get a pic. here soon.

 

Should be good. :cheers: Still amazed how rusted out those rockers are tho.I see many 355's around here but barely any rust on them yet.
