I've looked all over and cannot find the info on it, but I'm looking to put a fuel cell in my 09 colorado. Some have put these in there trucks on this site, but I'm not sure what cells will work, etc. I'm looking at putting this one in the stock tank location:
15 Gallon RCI Fuel Cell Gas Tank Aluminum Street ( NEW):eBay Motors (item 300332464666 end time Jul-27-09 16:32:53 PDT)

Will it work?
Could I mod it to work with stock pump and if so how?
and anything else I may need to know. I have to go this route because the frame will be 2 inches narrower than stock and I need room for tanks and compressors behind the rear end so I'd rather put the fuel cell in the stock location.
So any info. that you have will be a great help. :)

hate to bring up an old thread did this work for you? i ran my cell called up summit got a high psi fuel pump for fuel injected motor. fuel fithers and what not. got it all going double check cranked up the truck ran for about 2 minutes and truck started blah blah blah and died. check the pump and it was hotter than a mofo. so called up summit agian. talked to tech rep he said inline fuel pumps wont work with our trucks systems cuase our trucks have a no return and the pump needs some kind of return to cool it off. so idk. i am modifying my stock pump to fit in a fuel cell.

Ive seen people make very simple setups for fuel cells to make your stock sending unit work! There was a really nice idea i saw at RA all star event but i didnt take any pics, basically just clamps the stock unit in with bolts and it still sealed off somehow... Ive also seen some peole take some small round stock cut it to around 2 inch lengths and bend them so that they lock into the tabs like a stock unit
