Help-cylinder 3 misfire

I don't know if this is the place to post this, but I'm desparate. To start I have an 05 canyon, Z85, 2.8 liter, MT, 2WD. This March at ~53k miles the truck was running like crap giving a 303 code. The dealer put a new head on my engine. About 56k, it was running the same and giving the same code. I figured I'd replace the plugs (didn't think to ask if new plugs came with the head). The cylinder three plug was pretty fouled with black carbon and the other 3 looked brand new. Installed new plugs. About 400 miles later, same code and running horribly--possibly even a safety hazard. Not knowing what else to do as I was on vacation, I bought a new coil pack and put it on cylinder three. Ran like brand new for ~300 miles then--code 303, running bad. Checked plug--darkish gray carbon. Cleaned and re-installed plug--no difference. Took it to dealer who said a coil pack wire connection was bad and they fixed it. 2 days later, running same--any hints, suggestions, anything? It's driving me to the poor house! It doesn't seem to be burning oil. The problem is intermittent, but seems to be getting worse and more noticeable when the engine is warm.

If the dealer replaced the cylinder head and it's still having the same problems, you should not have paid for a SINGLE PART needed to get it running right. I would humbly recommend taking it back the the dealership and go straight to the service manager and let him know the situation. Any decent dealership should want to make it right for you.

The issue was finally resolved (I think)! They replaced the wire to the coil connector on cylinder 3 free of charge (and 2 visits since I last posted) and my canyon is purring like a kitten. Thanks for the advice I got here and I hope that my experience will help someone else down the line. I forgot to mention that the last time I took it in I talked to the service manager and the two mechanics who had worked on my truck earlier when I dropped it off and spoke to the mech when I picked up at length. It took a couple/three tries but they did right by me and gave me a loaner car free of charge each time.
