i have either replaced or checked everything from the fuse-relay-wiring-ground-turn signal/wiper switch-motor/linkage. some may have seen where i took off the steering wheel/air bag to change that switch and that didnt fix it and nothing else did either. so the only thing left was to check/replace the motor. well when i tested the motor it was humming then it did nothing, opened it up and it had mad corrosion inside. (supposed to be waterproof). found out that the trailblazers had a recall cause of the same shit!. so the dealer got me the motor only, priced at 266.00 or the motor with all the new linkage and everything all together for 170.00 i'm not stupid so i bought the whole thing and because of where i work i got it for 123.00 problem solved i now have wipers again!

mark the wipers/wiper bolt before taking off so you know where to put it back, since i was changing everything it didnt matter cause the wiper bolt was new and i had to adjust it till it was right then tighten it up.

took off the plastic wiper shroud after taking off each nut and wiper arm. unhook the connector next to the grommet just inside the engine area on the fire wall.
2 bolts holding the whole wiper motor/linkage in (which you have to re-use). then fought a little getting it out cause it can only go in/come out one way and its not obvious.
took the new one out of the box and strategically placed the new one back in (see the pic with me pointing at the rubber thing and the white metal tab-make sure the rubber thing is above tab and resting on it before you proceed to put the 2 bolts in). checked the wipers to make sure they worked and popped the shroud back in.

i wasnt that bad i could do the next one in an hour or less, took my time with pics and shit. plus it was tricky cause it only goes back in one way and it doesnt fit like you think it would... comes out way easier than goes in. lol

Bringing this thread back from the dead...I had an intermittent wiper issue and now they don't work at all. It all started when we got a decent amount of rain a few days in a row. They worked fine at first. A few days after the first rain they intermittently worked and last night it rained all night and they wouldn't work this morning. The wipers seem to work when they are dried out but if any moisture gets into the motor it will not work. I am assuming this is the same issue you a had?

the same motor had issues and recalls while in the trailblazer but it was supposed to have been fixed before the 355 got it. anyway the chevy parts guy said they have issues with the seal so waters get in there and slowly fucks up the motor.

if you replace it put some silcone on it before you put it back in:thumbup:
