Well NASCAR has round wheel wells so I did the same thing but it does make the truck look lower cause the wells are so close to the wheels. I love it.

That's a badass idea... be interesting to see what it will look like painted gloss black, but I can see it looking REALLY good completely satined.

Yeah. I think it would have looked better with a bigger wheel because they look TINY now. But yeah I want to see it all done and see how it looks

We were gonna go lower but then they would rub on turns it was dropped 1.5" in the back and 1.25" in the front.

I'm undecided on it. It does look more filled out but kind of takes away from the lines from GM. Will have to see it with the body work done to make a final though.

Definitely something different though, and will make you're truck more unique.

 

Once I get them cleaned up everything will sit in it's place. I can't go any lower in the only 1.5" more in the back then I'll be at a 5.5/7

I really like it! Great idea and you did it first. I never liked our wierd wheel well opening lines and this mod takes the eye away from it. Closing the rear holes and bed and frame view makes a hell of a diff. I do think you'll see more of that being done. The only negative that I can see is it limits you changing tire size. Nice job. Not for everybody I'm sure. Post the finished pictures. :thumbup:

Yeah but those rims and tire set will never change for me. I love them and they are perfect for my look

 

I like the idea but I agree, it makes your tires look small. If you did that around a 20 or something I think it would flow a little better. But I understand your rim and tire choice and overall theme of the truck so nice job.:thumbup:

 

I didn't want big rims. There 16's with a 50 side wall. The truck rides great for being so low.

 

A Hendrix small block and your set man, I like the look being a NASCAR fan.

I dunno, at first I thought this guy must have mis spelled. Then next thing I know I see this..I like the whole idea...but kinda think your gonna have some real fun around the turns hittin the damn side wall. If not cuttin the hell out of the tire too! Good luck on with the paint and all. Prop's for bein the first to try it!

How about the tops of the wheel wells? Did you have them make more space for travel?
