Next-Gen Colorado Spotted in Michigan - GM Inside News Forum

I spotted the Next-Generation Colorado on I-275 today on my way home from work. Looks to me like they were doing standard pre-production testing, air dynamics, millage, engine performance, etc. I must say that I really liked what they are doing the design. I also felt like the current Colorado and Canyon just weren't big enough, and lacked basic essentials, such as an optional V8, good gas millage, good price, interior quality, etc.

Anyhow, I loved the front end, it looks as if they are taking the front grill from the Malibu, and the front grill from the Traverse and are adapting it to fit the truck style. I did notice how the hood bevel upward, giving the impression of power and a muscular stance. I also liked how they are increasing the trucks size, it is now several inches longer, taller and wider (Typical GM fashion).

Here is another opinion:
"I think I know the identity of this tester. It's not a GM BUT I think this might be a mule for the next gen Ford ranger note both the rear wheel arches and the similar looking front end when compared to other known shots of the new ranger."

Pan thru the comments to see what it really appears to be!(pics)

It's a Ford Ranger.

We're not even supposed to get a new Colorado until 2013. GM's not going to have shaped pre-production mules running around for another 3 years for a 2013 launch of the real product. Even with the 5th gen Camaro build, the "production-ready" test mules were only around about a year before the car's release.
