Oil Leaking on my driveshaft and oil pan?

Hey all, I'm looking for some help on where to start- I woke up this morning and noticed some oil pooling up under my truck (2008 i5 4x4). The drive shaft and oil pan are both covered in oil and dripping. Any ideas on what it could be?

For the past 6 months, I've been going crazy trying to find out why my truck is leaking so much. I've replaced the oil pressure sending unit as well as the rack and pinion, and even the power steering unit (unrelated) but I'm still seeing oil leaks! I'm going to see if the oil pan bolts are loose after work, but would appreciate any insight from yall.

Because you have a 4 x 4 the transfer case tail shaft bushing may have worn to the point where fluid is getting past to the seal and leaking by. Just because transfer case fluid isn't gear oil or motor oil doesn't mean it won't look like oil or be red as is most transmission fluid.

I have a question maybe this will help me out although I’m pretty sure it’s the transmission but I do know I had a cv axel going bad. So 2004 Nissan Maxima automatic. Just stopped driving randomly never really had any signs of the tranny going bad, but what ever happened I can’t put the car in park like I can put the shifter to park but the car won’t actually stop like if it’s in park. When this happened I was going up hill not not a crazy up hill road just happpen to be curving up due to ramp.

Just curious. This is a Forum dedicated the Chevy trucks. Wouldn't you get more valid suggestions from a source such as this: 6th Generation Maxima (2004-2008) - Maxima Forums
