I know nothing about those lights. I bought some bright white led in 9005 and 9006. I am very happy with those

 

I bought the Spec-Ds too. very happy with them. If i remember right everything was plug and play with the exception of the led halo. Those just tap into stock wire with provided wire taps.

They certainly look nice. Do you get lots of light out of it

 

They project the light very far but could flood a little better in my opinion. I don't really mind as i have aftermarket fogs that flood well. I think the halo looks cool too.

 

I havent installed them yet. I actually just got them tonight.

I took at a look at the plug and they are PLUG AND PLAY, which is nice. Once i get them installed (hopefully in a couple days) ill take pictures. Only thing that concerns me is. The instructions talk about moisture in the lens and to use silicon to plug up any where there might be leaks. Its an easy fix but shouldnt need to be done.

I dont know if I want to hook up the halos or little side LEDs. From the reviews I read, either they work but arent bright, only some work, or work only for a little. Ill probably hook them up briefly just to see if they work or if i like them but like i said, probably wont keep them.

 

Yea I get a little moisture in mine periodically but it usually doesn't last long. The side Leds and halos are purely accent lighting. I don't think they do much for lighting. If you tap into the running lights though you can run them without the headlights. looks kinda neat. Iv had mine for a while but i keep my truck indoors climate controlled so i cant say everyone would experience the same longevity.

 

are you able to wire the projectors so they dont come on automatically? Do you have any advice on installing them? Would you do anything different during your install?

 

I have the exact same one. only part you have to splice is the led drl. everything else is plug and play. my one gripe is that its a little challenging to find other bulb for the upper drls, as well as h1 bulb to match the same color as the included led drls in the lower unit. My Ocd kicks in every time i see the reflection in the rear bumper of the car in front of me, as i have to yet to find a perfect match.

Hello all, I know there are tons of these forums and read through quite a few and didn't find what i was looking for.

I bought the cheap spec-d projector lights that come with H1 bulbs. Since our trucks are 9006. Do you have to cut and splice the wires to make it fit? is it still plug and play?

any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Did you use the bulb that was included? how much brighter is it than stock headlight? if you replaced the bulbs what did you replace it with?
