I think it just bolts to the existing grille

 

You can sort of make out the original grill lines behind this one. Looks nice though.

 

imo, no matter what, bolt-over grills end up looking cheap. if youre that into making your ride look nice and clean,get a cut-out one.

 

I had one for several years and painted it black. Over all I liked it.
Eventually I went to the Carriage Works Billet grille.
