Question about Tow Package Bumper

I have probably a dumb question. I bought a 2005 Chevy Colorado that doesn't have the tow package. I'm trying to add a hitch, but the bumper brackets get in the way of the hitch. It had a trailer plug installed when i bought it, I just now need to install the hitch. I was looking online and saw a bumper for the tow package option. It shows that the brackets are flat instead of having a lip on the top and bottom of the brackets. Will the bumper fit my Colorado that doesn't have the tow package option? Or are the frames different? I can't get my hitch on so I'm kind of lost at the moment. I was kind of wondering if maybe my frame was bent but it has no prior accidents and the frame looks straight.

I'll have to look into it. I'm planning to tow a sandrail with my truck. Nothing crazy. Estimated weight around 3000-3500 pounds. The tongue weight is a little heavy since the engine is at the front of the trailer. I haven't weighed it exactly. I bought a Rigid class 4 hitch to be safe but I couldn't get the hitch to fit. I'll have to weigh my trailer. Thanks for the suggestion
