i've used red wrapping on my camaro radiator hoses with these
43 Ft Braided Hose Wire Cover Engine Dress Up Kit- Red

 

You could have custom bent pipes to match the bends of the factory hose then use a piece of hose to connect them to the radiator and engine. You can have the pipes painted or hydro dipped. I have seen some pics of it done.

 

I have not thought of that... What type of metal would I need for that so it doesn't corode?

 

I would use aluminum or stainless steel, radiators are made out of aluminum so that might be better.

 

Yes. You do not want to use different metals in the cooling system due to the possibility of galvanic corrosion.

Those do look cool.. Bet it would be close to $300 or better for a custom made one. The ones they off for the couple of chevys they have on there list are $200

Definately would use alum if you were going to make one

 

I'm with the aluminum or stainless guys. Those colored nomex sleeves arent that great and paint won't last on rubber hose especially hot rubber hose.

 

What about painted stainless braid? I'm glad I saw this thread...My engine compartment is next....I'm gathering ideas at this point....
