there's a difference between the two. the extreme flares do not attach straight up to the fender like the rk or the zq8's. there are 1in spacers that sit between them. not sure if there's differences in the height meaning where the flare travels down to the bottom of the fender. hope this helps i just sold a full set on here like two weeks ago.

not sure if they hang lower. but if so can easily be cut to fit.

yes you can but the flares will not run the full length of the fender.

The RK Sport flares are similar to the Xtreme flares. They don't go all the way down to the bottom and will look cut-off without the skirts. That will be really noticeable on a light colored truck.

 

I'm running just the Extreme Flares, I have the skirts but there for an Ext Cab so I had to cut them down and I just haven't had the time to finish them and get them on. On with the pics..

This is without the skirts.. You don't really notice that the flares don't go all the way down until you get up to the truck.

The back is what will be noticed the most.

that's why I said they will be noticeable on a light color truck. On black, the paint matches the shadows which helps hide that the flares are short until you are up close. On a light color truck, the shadows will act like Vanna White holding her hands up to the bottom of the flares :lol:

 

off topic: but does anyone know what kind of bed cover and spoiler is on the rk sport truck??

 

they were both made by RK, but they never offered them for sale when i bought my hood from them i asked about the bed cover, they had plans to produce them, but never did

 

well damn that sucks!! i love the hood too!! its just a little pricey

RKSports DO get rid of some wheel gap. not sure how much yet though.

also they DO mate up with SS side skirts! so thats the good news, now i dont have to pay $700 for some xtremes.

jesse2005 your my hero lol jk but your truck is one of my favorites on here, idk i really want extremes but the price tag is crazy for me plus im in college and what not, but if rks are only $295 im not complaining, ill wait for cbo_zurlz results, and since you have them do you think you can see if it gets rid of wheel gap at all?

 

I remember someone saying that RK Sport copied an Xtreme body kit

 

by looking at jesse's pics that he posted the extremes look like they hang lower, but im not sure i was just looking at the front fender pic and seeing how much it was going towards gas

 

The Extreme kit hangs down almost 2 inches lower all the way around. If the RK sport mounts the same way as the ZQ8's then it doesn't hang down that much at all. Those just clip straight to the fender wells, the Extreme's have clips that mount to the fender wells and then the flares mount to that.
