Free up some more horses with RP LOL, come on guys, you are not running a high performance engine, if you have more money than common sense go ahead and spend the money on this crap!
actually most high performance engine builders don't use RP it doesn't get along well with race gas it's mainly for a street application

:yeahthat: I've used it in my Integra before, and it kinda started to make my motor smoke a tad bit, so i got it out of there. My brother uses it in his SRT-4 (engine and trans) and its a pretty noticeable difference in his car!

I just dont wanna spend 60 dollars on an oil change, i've stuck with Mobil1 since i've had my truck.

Not sure where you guys are buying mobile 1 or royal purple from but...

On amazon you can buy a 5 gallon bucket, 20qt, for 145.29 free shipping.
I am having a hard time finding mobile 1 extended performance for less than $7.50 a qt.

I don't think you can buy a 5 gallon bucket of mobile 1.

How can someone say I don't notice a difference between 1 oil and another? The real difference isn't what you feel in your butt dyno, but what actual dyno sheets say. And also the difference in wear over the long haul.

I don't think you can compare regular mobile 1 to royal purple either.

I replaced all my fluids with royal purple and I put in purple ice in the radiator. I do use mobile 1 oil filters!

For filters I use either Napa Gold, WIX or K&Ns...got them for free!

I don't think most of us are comparing regular dino oil Mobil 1 to Royal Purple. I think they mean Mobil 1 synthetic. At least that's what I mean. I use the Mobil 1 filters as well.

I was referring to mobile 1 synthetic. Mobile 1 extended performance is more comparable to royal purple. I don't know the technical differences or similarities, that is just what I think.

I thought all mobile 1 products were synthetic I never heard of mobil1 dino oil

Well explain to me how race gas and oil don't get along with each other, lol!
I'm not exactly sure of the reason lol but my friends machinist and other racers have told him to stay away from RP because ti doesn't work well with race gas I thought it was weird but I wasn't concerned lol my truck isn't running on race fuel

Well your friends machinist needs to find a new job and i would suggest to your friend to find a new machinist, i drag race cars and street bikes and have built motors for Ford, Chevy, and Dodge, one thing i can tell you is that unless your oil mixes with gas you don't need to worry, there is no way in hell the oil affects gas in a race car or anything else for that matter. LOL and for future reference, don't listen to everything you hear, if you are concerned about something your not sure about the best thing to do is look it up and read about it!

trust me i don't believe everything I hear I just don't remember the reason why because I didn't care I run the stuff not bashing it or anything but there are also other racers who have told him no as said in my other post it very well could mix with the gas and that could be the problem but this is coming from guys with plenty of experience and take this shit seriously but until my truck runs on race fuel i won't care or be concerned about it just stating what I've been told

Thats all fine and dandy but not trying to be a dick or anything but like i said in my last post race fuel or no race fuel if your gas and oil mix together it has nothing to do with the type of oil, it has everything to do with something mechanical wrong, for example intake cracked or leaking, so let your race buddies know that its not the type of oil that causes oil to mix with fuel lol, i run RP in my drag/street bike and my drag car and not one time has it mixed with my fuel, all i was saying is honestly you have no right to give anyone an opinion on something you have no clue what you are talking about! Sorry the truth hurts sometimes!

No not all products are synthetic. Dino oil= standard motor oil. BTW be aware that a BUNCH of that extend performance and high mileage oil was recalled and although a its does help with higher mileage engines it also causes you seals to swell so once you start using high mileage you'll want to keep using it or you will start to have issues.

I'm not trying to claim I know everything about it at all I even said I don't remember the exact reason a million times because I don't run on race fuel I'm just passing on info passed to me and I doubt anyone in this forum runs race fuel but I'm just putting it out there so people know to look into and see if it causes a problem you may not think your trying to act like a dick but you really are but whatever you must know everything because you built motors for Dodge, Ford, and GM I geuss that makes you the all knowing oil expert, whatever doesn't matter to me.

Well for one i run race fuel in my bike and car so ill put that to rest, i don't own a Colorado, i got on here because my buddy's was messing up and just getting some info on these piece of shits before i worked on it and saw this thread about RP and i thought to myself what kind of idiot would put high performance oil in a Colorado LOL,
