Mine look like they shrank a little. I would love to just get rid of them. What is the purpose for having them anyhow

 

My guess is the roof is three pieces and the strips just cover the seams. If that IS the case I'd like to know what the purpose of a three part roof is versus a single piece.

I haven't had any problems with mine. I replaced them last year because I tore them off for paint but no other issues.

 

a few weeks after i got my truck, my back drivers one peeled off so i glued it back down with gorrilla glue...that stuff is fixes everything lol

 

I took mine off 2 1/2 years ago after I shaved my 3rd brake light and never put them back on.

 

04 no issues, GM prob started useing cheaper glue to save money......or yours were glued down on a monday morning or friday afternoon LOL

They are roof seam covers that double as water channels so the water all doesn't come down on your head when you get out of the truck in the rain.

 

mine are coming off too, what a beotch.

 

So what does it look like under them? Notfast you said you dont have them at all anymore? can you post a pic? I have thought about just taking mine off but I never knew the purpose for them
