OK, this has happen 3 times so far. I get in the truck first thing in the morning, take off to go to work. My truck is stuck in 3rd gear. It is slow to take of. It will not shift into D or overdrive. After about 20miles I stop cut off the truck turn it back on and it is fine. It makes no sense. It has happen just in the past wk. Does anyone know or have had this problem.

98000 miles, just changed the transmission in it about 2 months ago. When it is nice outside or hot or in the afternoon when I get ready to leave to go home, it works great. I read what billy had sent, but I haven't put anything on my truck. I will check this afternoon to see if the wire has been cut. What side is this wire on, sorry that i don't know that much about the trans. dept. I will also check the fluid. How low will the fluid have to be to not want to go or change, I guess my ? is why does it only do it in the morning. LOL, thanks for all the help. Will let u know this afternoon.
