i certainly dont want to piss in anybodys boot but i think sc got the whole idea for that cover came from a photoshop of my truck. its in a thread somewhere around here.

i havent done this yet because im poor, but it was actually Xtreme07s idea to do this to my Z71 and i was looking for a "bumper idea" because the one i have doesnt really "fit" the truck anymore and we thought a ss cover would be a unique idea for a red Z71 4x4.

i must admit when i found out sc was not only doing the ss cover but a cowl hood as well i lost some of enthusiasm for the ss cover, to this point i think i have one of the most unique Z71s around. i have put the ss cover idea on the shelf.... ill come up with something else or maybe still do the ss cover, i dunno.

heres the my z71 with the photoshopped ss cover....borrowed from foxcraze.

heres another idea i had...painted some combo of red and black. i just dont like how much of the tire you can see from the front view

It would look identical if he used all the same components. Whatever, it is not worth getting into it with the people I've learned to respect and admire on these forums. SC understands where Rudy is coming from and is doing his part by personalizing it to his taste. I don't really have much else to say :shrug:

Like I said I got the idea from rusty not rrcn. I purchased my cowl hood in december so I did not take that from you rusty. I liked the look of it on a show I was watching plus my dads friend has a silverado with one.

Hell, just go with a different paint combo and it'll make it look completely different.

Its not the whole front end. I'm putting on a bumper cover and a speed grille. thats 2 things I'm putting on the front end. he still has different head lights than me.

I don't know of any colors but black that I would like there.

Do you people realize that there are MAYBE 1000-1500 active and regular posting members between both major 355 forums? There have been several hundred thousand 355's sold, and I'm sure there have been thousands upon thousands of Gen II covers and speed grilles sold. Rudy, I respect you and like your truck but you're being ridiculous. You have the most popular aftermarket bumper cover, with one of the most popular grille inserts, on one of the most common colors. Do you really think you're the only person with that in the whole world? Just because someone else isn't posting pictures of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. SC doesn't even live near you, and the rest of his truck is completely different. No offense, but you guys aren't driving one off sponsored show trucks these are just nicely customized daily drivers. Do what you like and don't worry about what you saw some guy on the internet do, and quit crying about stupid shit.
