Real new to the nation and I have a couple quick questions about the lift kit! My Maxx Cam JR kit just arrived in the mail, real excited to get it in and really impressed with the product!

1: I have just put in the Heavy Duty Bilstein shocks in the front, Part number 24-186162, I read somewhere in the threads that you don't have to install the shock spacers that come with the kit and was wondering if this would or can become a potential problem down the road while off roading? Was also planning on doing the ball joint flip... dont know if that makes a difference or not either?

2:If I am going after 2.5" of lift in front would I set the keys and cam to B1 and crank the bars more for that extra half an inch?

3:Finally, I know it says not to go higher than 23.5" on instructions, But is that only the Lift? What if I cranked the torsion bars to 23.5" and then did the ball joint flip which gains me an extra half inch?

Thanks in advance.

1.ball joint flip helps with alignment and regains some downward suspension travel and helps with binding up the ball joint that happens from TB lifts. It basically puts the upper ball joint back to its proper angle. Can't answer your bilstein shock question.

2. Yes

3. You do not gain any lift by flipping the upper ball joint from what I understand.

The clarification I have read in terms of gaining lift from the ball joint is in extreme cases when the ball joint stud is maxed out. Once it's been flipped, the UCA can freely move since the BJ stud isn't binding any longer. Therefore, in some cases the truck lifts only because the UCA isnt bound.

Perfect! ... I have read the Ball Joint how to thanks. I understand how the ball joint helps correct the angle after the crank... Installed kit this afternoon without the shock spacers(not using my truck as a daily driver) and I put an email into suspension maxx. When they get back to me I will post up there answer. Thanks for the help guys!

Mine stiffened up for sure.... I also put new bilsteins on all around which would have made things a little stiffer. After alignment I am really happy with it! I think it rides like the truck should ... now to get rid of sway bar!:D
