im not sure bout this. but have you ordered you body lift yet?

my buddy has one on his 95 sierra and its strickly for looks and it mounts to his front bumper. and im assuming you want one that mounts to the frame

Doesn't help too much because it doesn't show where it mounts to. I know what it looks like on the truck and have an idea about the mounting points but want to make sure where they mount.

i have a one with a body lift, all i did was fab up a lil better mount points on the lower so i could still bolt it to the frame, took a lil bit of messing around, but, if you dont extend it, it'll end up covering your bumper instead of your lights

it mounts pretty far back on the frame. you have to take off the skid plate in order to get to where it mounts. if you go under your truck there is two holes that go thru the frame where it bolts to

I don't like the looks of them and if the brush guard works then that's what I'm doing. Otherwise it'll be a clean lift with nothing on the front and it'll stay the way it is.

 

the thing I really did not like is on the brush guard where the bolts go thru are much wider than the actual bolts. so no matter how much you tighten the bolts with some force you can move the guard back and forth. So in the event of an accident it will actually cause more damage to your truck. if you just want it for looks/light bar go for it but if you actually going to use it I wouldn't do it.

It won't be "used" in that sense but I understand what you're saying. Brush guard is definately last on the list to complete the look so... it's still a ways down the road. I just like the overall appearance of them better than the bull bars.

I think I can fix the movement if I need to it'll just take some afro engineering. :lol:

 

here's my variation on the mount, so I could mate up properly with my 1 inch bodylift.

 

Here's an idea scrap bolting on a brush guard and weld it like this....
