i've got the crankshaft seal and oil pick-up tube gasket, but anybody has an idea how to find the (only) the oring behind the timing cover that seals the passage to the chain tensioner? 2012 2.9L thanks,
I ran into a similar situation with my engine a while ago, trying to track down that pesky O-ring behind the timing cover. It wasn’t easy, but I ended up finding it by checking part diagrams online and calling around to local shops. Some places sell it as part of a kit, but if you’re after just the O-ring, you might need to ask about it specifically. Also, I learned about rubber compression molding when I was looking into replacement seals, and it’s pretty cool how they make these things with such precision.
